Opening of the new Baptist church Vertical Linz

The opening of the new Baptist church Vertical Linz took place on Sunday afternoon, September 28th. The same church service also included the consecration of their pastor, Darius Stoian. So many people came to the opening that there were no seats left and many had to stand for the entire service!

In his opening sermon, Darius explains what the community stands for. The community is built on four pillars. In a very modern way, he illustrated this with emotions we know from social media, and also encouraged the listeners to type them into their phones.

Fritz Kaiser was present on behalf of our association and delivered a greeting and a sermon. He picked up on the image from the opening of Linz via the grapevine. Vertical Linz is meant to be vertically connected to God. But also horizontally with the brothers and sisters in the congregation and in the Baptist Union. We often think that we are all supposed to be exactly the same grapes. But one grape is a Grüner Veltliner and the other is an Uhudler. In the Union we are different types of grapes. But we are one in Jesus Christ.

Claudia Krupensky, Secretary General of the FKÖ, was also present and delivered a greeting in Romanian.

We are delighted that we are allowed to grow as a federal community.
