Mission includes proclamation, social service, and social engagement. It means reaching people with the message of Christ, but it also means serving according to his example (John 13).
The task of the Baptist Union is to support the congregations in their work as best as possible and to act as a multiplier.
The home mission is probably the most obvious choice. These include weekly church services, as well as activities in the surrounding area and neighborhood. This includes projects such as church planting and evangelistic events.
In the area of the young generation, which encompasses age groups ranging from children to young adults, we network with the Baptist Children’s and Youth Ministry, with our student ministry, and with the Youth Alliance.
We are also committed to spreading the gospel beyond the borders of our communities and our country. World mission is the keyword here, and EBM International is our main partner in this endeavor. In addition, we help federal communities establish partnerships with communities in Virginia.
Diakonie, the part mentioned at the beginning of this page, is very important to us in many ways. This includes areas such as counseling and supervision, aid projects, and disaster relief.
We assist in coordinating refugee work, network with pastors who are active in this area, and provide advice.
