Is there a future for my community? Will we still be around in 20 years? What needs to happen in the community so that we can move into the future? What is our mission here?
The concept of revitalization is aimed at communities that are asking themselves about the future and enables them to actively counteract various downward trends. Many communities are at a point where they are asking themselves how to proceed in the face of challenges such as generational change in leadership, a lack of age groups in the community, or dealing with new non-binding commitments. How can communities prepare for the next 20, 30, or even 50 years? What decisions need to be made now? How can communities empower young people to take on responsibility? And how can this be done without losing the existing community?
We will spend a day together, listen to exciting presentations on both topics, and exchange ideas on these important issues. And we hope and expect that we will also hear the guiding voice of our Lord.
The “Founding/Revitalization” team of the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches (in formation) discusses how they view the current task of the Church of Jesus.
Target audience:
For community leaders, interested parties, founders and curious individuals of the BBGÖ and the FKÖ.
