As we approach Christmas, we are reminded of the story of Jesus and his family: displaced, vulnerable, and in need of warmth and protection. They found comfort and security through the compassion of others.
This winter we have the opportunity to extend the same kindness to families in Ukraine who are facing the unimaginable hardships of war. Our European Baptist Federation (EBF) is organizing a fundraising appeal for Baptist churches in Ukraine.
Throughout Ukraine, Baptist churches are opening their doors to everyone – strangers, neighbors, and friends. They provide warmth, nourishment, and hope in the midst of trauma. Your generosity can make a real difference – you can help them in their work by joining our EBF Christmas appeal Hope Heats Ukraine.
A donation of €2000.00 covers the heating costs for a community for the entire winter – but of course, even small amounts make a big difference. With your donation, you are not only giving physical warmth, but also compassion, community, and a sign of hope from the local community for those suffering trauma and insecurity. You will bring light to those who live in darkness and show the world the power of faith and kindness in action. Together we can ensure that no one has to get through the winter alone.
